Websites such as wikepedia rank very high in the search engines and get a lot of traffic. This is because they contain all the related vocabulary on  particular topic or nich. Not just the main keywords for that topic. Wikepedia sites also usually contain outgoing links to all the authoratative sites related to that topic which increases their ranking even more.

TIP: Setup links on your website to the same outgoing link references on the associated wikepedia website for your niche. Also use the same "language" or "vocabulary" as used on the Wikepedia website for your niche.
